Good Old Friends

One of the great things about this job is the convenience of seeing friends around the globe.

I haven't see my good friend, Maribel for a long time. We were former colleagues at my first job with the US Refugee Program. She became a godmother to my oldest son and we had good memories together.

I feel bad that even if I fly to Canada a lot, I didn't get a chance to see her the past few years. Finally, that day has come.

I am glad and grateful to have a job that makes me reconnect with my old friends. We have friends that even if we don't see them often, the value of friendship is always there.
